The Opportunity
Our client is a 9-figure DTC brand that’s done something rare in this space—scaled to over $100M in revenue without outside investment, without toxic hustle culture, and without sacrificing great people doing great work.
Now they need someone to own their growth engine and architect the entire second era of growth.
Your two numbers:
New customer acquisition (volume and pacing)
First-order contribution margin
Your budget: Scaling to $50M in annual paid media spend next year
Your team:
24-person performance creative team (producing 200+ ads per month)
4-person paid media team
You’ll hire: Director of Data Analytics

What You’ll Own
Build the System, Not Just Run the Ads
Right now, they’re fast but reactive. You’ll bring the operating system that makes them fast AND predictable:
Monthly creative insights that actually inform the pipeline 30-90 days out (not post-mortems on what died last week)
Forecasting models that Finance trusts and teams can plan around
Structured testing frameworks across Meta, Google, YouTube, and emerging channels
Data confidence (definitions, reporting, incrementality) that ends the “what does this number even mean?” conversations
Lead Like You’ve Been Here Before
You’ve spent $50M+ across paid channels. You’ve navigated platform changes that broke other brands. You know which levers to pull and when to stay calm while everyone else panics.
They need that energy. Confident but not arrogant. Experienced but still curious. Someone who brings clarity when things get messy.
Make Creative and Paid Media Work Together
Their creative team is world-class (200+ ads per month). Their paid media team is sharp. But they need someone who speaks both languages fluently and can connect performance data to creative strategy in real time.
