Head of Ecommerce
Stockholm area | Office-first with flexibility | High-growth consumer brand | Build-from-zero opportunity

This is not a “maintain what’s already there” ecommerce role.

It’s an opportunity to build a DTC channel from the ground up inside an established consumer business that is now making a serious shift towards ecommerce.

If you’re motivated by ownership, impact, and the chance to shape something from day one — this is that role.

Why this role stands out
You’ll be joining a well-established consumer business with strong retail presence and brand recognition across the Nordic market.
What’s new is the direct-to-consumer journey.
Today, the business is heavily wholesale-focused — meaning limited direct customer data, slower trading cycles, and very little ecommerce infrastructure.
That’s exactly why this role exists.
You’ll be the person responsible for helping shift that — building a modern ecommerce function that complements the existing business and unlocks a completely new growth channel.
This isn’t a blank-page startup.
And it’s not a fully built ecommerce machine either.
It sits in a rare middle ground: real foundations already in place, but a huge opportunity to build something new.

What’s in it for you
• The chance to build and shape a DTC business from the ground up
• Real ownership of ecommerce strategy, growth, and performance
• A highly visible role working closely with senior leadership
• The opportunity to influence how a traditionally offline business evolves
• The backing of an established, profitable company
• The platform to build your own team over time
• A role where you can stay strategic and hands-on
• The chance to bring new thinking into a business ready for change

The role
You’ll take ownership of launching and scaling a new DTC ecommerce operation.
This is a broad, commercially focused role spanning acquisition, retention, ecommerce trading, budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and team building.
You’ll be the first dedicated ecommerce hire — which means you’ll need to be just as comfortable setting strategy as you are executing it.
In the early stages, this will include both high-impact strategic work and more hands-on, day-to-day tasks.

What you’ll be doing
• Leading the launch and growth of a new DTC ecommerce channel
• Owning ecommerce performance, budgets, KPIs, and commercial planning
• Building acquisition and retention strategies across the full funnel
• Working cross-functionally to ensure ecommerce integrates with the wider business
• Identifying key growth levers across paid, CRM, subscription, onsite, and trading
• Bringing pace, structure, and commercial thinking into a traditionally offline environment
• Helping define and build the future ecommerce team

Who this is for
This role is ideal for someone who has already helped grow a DTC or ecommerce business and is now looking for a bigger opportunity.
You might already be a Head of Ecommerce or Head of Growth.
You might be a strong senior leader ready to step into your first “head of” role.
Either way, you’ll likely be someone who:
• Has scaled ecommerce in a hands-on, commercially minded way
• Understands both acquisition and retention, not just one side of the funnel
• Is comfortable owning budgets, forecasts, and commercial decisions
• Enjoys building rather than simply managing
• Wants more autonomy and influence
• Can operate confidently with senior stakeholders
• Is happy to be hands-on when needed, especially in the early stages
This will particularly suit someone from a scaling consumer or DTC brand who wants to move into a role with more ownership and long-term impact.

What we’re looking for
• Strong ecommerce / growth leadership experience
• A track record of driving DTC growth
• Experience across performance marketing, CRM, ecommerce trading, and commercial planning
• Confidence owning budgets, forecasts, and KPIs
• A builder mindset with the ability to operate in a lean environment
• Strong analytical thinking and commercial judgement
• The credibility to influence senior stakeholders
• Fluent Swedish and English required

The setup
• Stockholm area
• Office-first environment with flexibility
• Collaborative, close-knit team
• High-autonomy role with strong leadership support
• Clear opportunity to shape the future of ecommerce within the business

Why you’ll want this job
Because it offers something genuinely hard to find:
the chance to build a high-potential DTC business from zero, within an established company that is ready — and willing — to evolve.
You’ll have the freedom to introduce new ways of thinking, challenge the status quo, and make a visible impact on how the business grows.
This isn’t about stepping into an already-built function.
It’s about creating one.
If you’re motivated by ownership, impact, and the opportunity to build something that didn’t exist before — this is worth a conversation.
