- Prague - Hybrid
- 172200-192500 GBP / Year
What if you could take a brand with 70% market share and build its digital presence almost from scratch?
We’re collaborating with a significant European pet food company on one of the most promising growth opportunities in Prague at present. Two powerful brands. Dominant market position. Huge potential online. And they’re ready to invest seriously in making it happen.
You’d be joining as Chief Online Growth Officer for their Czech operation – a proper C-suite role reporting to the CEO. The brands? Think Pedigree-level recognition but premium quality. One has 70% market share in Czech Republic. The other is a high-end freeze-dried range. Both have thrived through traditional channels and are now ready to unlock their digital potential.
They’ve got a small digital team in place and work with external agencies, but they need senior leadership to take this to the next level. Their central digital team (who’ve been building similar success stories across the group) are hands-on supporting the transformation, but they need someone on the ground in Prague with the authority and expertise to really drive it forward.
That’s where you come in.
In the first 12 months, you’d be:
Defining a clear, focused strategy that delivers next year’s revenue target (the beauty of strong brands means the fundamentals – email, new customer acquisition – can drive serious results)
Managing a €2.5M media budget with a clear path to scale to €10M+
Providing strategic leadership at the C-suite level to shape digital direction
Leveraging the power of established brands where customer trust is already there – you’re optimising, not building awareness from zero.
Developing the existing team and bringing in new talent to build your function
Collaborating closely with a central digital team that understands what good looks like and is invested in your success
This is organisational transformation work, you’ll be navigating change, building momentum, and bringing different stakeholders along on the journey. Initially, there are three websites to manage as part of a longer-term consolidation strategy. The opportunity is significant, and so is the scope to shape how it unfolds.
If you’re energised by the challenge of building something substantial with established brands and the backing to do it properly, this could be precisely what you’re looking for.
You’re the right fit if:
You’ve spent 10+ years in growth marketing, with 3+ as a Head of/Director of Growth
You’ve worked in D2C subscription commerce (ideally) or strong e-commerce brands (minimum)
You know your way around email/CRM and Google Ads – the foundation channels that drive sustainable growth
You’re commercially sharp – comfortable with P&L ownership, budgets, and contribution margins
You’re a confident decision-maker who can set a clear direction and bring people with you
You’re realistic about organisational change and skilled at building momentum progressively
You ask the right questions upfront because you want to understand the full picture
You’ll be Prague-based, working hybrid from their office near the airport.
What’s in it for you?
Money: CZK 2,150,000 – 2,400,000 gross per year (€85-95k) + ~€10k bonus (with flexibility for the right person)
Growth trajectory: This starts in Czech and expands to Slovakia, Poland, then Germany. Nail it here, and you’re building something genuinely significant across Central and Eastern Europe.
Support structure: Full backing from the central team. You’ll have experienced colleagues who’ve done this before and are invested in your success.
Tech investment: Website migrations to modern stack planned for next year (CommerceTools, Snowplow, new CRM, ThoughtSpot BI). They’re committing to the infrastructure you need.
Real autonomy: Genuine authority to make strategic decisions, shape direction, and build your team. This is a leadership role with actual leadership scope.
