You might already work in recruitment. Or you might come from sales, account management, customer service or another target-driven environment and be looking for a career where you can build something for yourself.

You’ll build your own specialist market within the consumer sector, develop relationships with ambitious brands and exceptional candidates, and become the person people think of first when they need talent in your niche.

Building a market takes curiosity, resilience and consistent effort. It means picking up the phone every day, asking great questions, following up and being comfortable hearing “no”.

What You’ll Do

You’ll:

Research and map your specialist market.
Proactively approach prospective clients and candidates by phone every day, alongside LinkedIn, networking and referrals.
Build relationships with founders, senior leaders and hiring managers.
Ask questions and learn how businesses operate, grow and hire.
Identify hiring opportunities and develop new client relationships.
Find, interview and qualify exceptional candidates.
Manage recruitment processes from first conversation through to placement.
Follow up consistently and build relationships for the long term.
Develop the knowledge and reputation to become a genuine specialist in your market.
Who We’re Looking For

Recruitment experience isn’t essential.

You might have 6–18 months’ experience in recruitment, sales, account management, customer service or another commercial role.

More importantly, we’re looking for someone who:

Is comfortable on the phone and enjoys speaking to new people.
Is commercially curious and loves asking questions.
Is comfortable with targets and motivated by improving their performance.
Is resilient and doesn’t give up after hearing “no”.
Is hungry to succeed and earn through an uncapped commission structure.
Has a strong work ethic and is prepared to give maximum effort consistently.
Takes ownership rather than waiting for opportunities to come to them.
Is highly coachable, actively seeks feedback and quickly puts it into practice.
Has strong attention to detail and cares about doing things properly.
Wants to become genuinely exceptional at what they do.
